Great Experience at Carrboro Family Vision!
I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Vizithum and the entire staff. They have always been friendly, professional and go out of their way to provide a great experience.
Down to Earth, Knowledgable, and Helpful!
This company is Great, all of the Doctor’s (and Staff) are very down to earth, knowledgable, and helpful. Dr. Raynor and his Family live in the area near this office and are very vested in the community and give back a lot. As a side note the office is located in a beautiful old building that has be 100% renovated and is amazing. They sell a lot of sun shades/glass too and know a lot more about them then the average “mall location”
The doctors and staff are all super friendly, quick, and professional.
Patient & Thorough
This review is long overdue. Dr Oberdorf has been my eye doctor for years and I couldn’t be happier. He’s patient and thorough and genuinely concerned with your eye health. The staff is always courteous and helpful. I have always been seen on time. And the eyeglass section off to the side is totally awesome too. I always leave feeling well taken care of.
Professional & Friendly
I am really pleased with the service and professionalism of this business. I have met with both, Dr. Tucker and Dr. Wieand and they both took equally good care of me. I am not someone that knows my schedule months down the road so I will generally just call in and ask them to let me know about cancellations a week or so out. The staff is Johnny on the spot and gets back to me straight away as availability opens up. As far as their eye glass shop, they have a good selection and you receive very personalized care. If I had to complain about one thing it would be the cost of glasses. To hear you have great insurance and still need to pay out $300 for a pair of glasses seems a bit high. I may just be out of touch with the cost of things. Anyhow, I am sure you can walk out of there paying less if your focus is purely cost.
Fast, Efficient & Helpful
Annual visit to update my information and get a new contact prescription. Staff are very fast, efficient, and helpful. I have had appointments with Dr. Chow and Dr. Vizithum, both are polite and professional. There was no sense of being “talked down” to that can sometimes happen when visiting a doctor or any professional specialist. They took care to answer any questions and fully explain everything. Convenient location with a newly remodeled and very attractive building – there are multiple bus stops within a few blocks, making it much easier to get to from locations such as the UNC campus, especially if you don’t have a car available (I use public transit to get into campus).
Excellent care and friendly staff, I definitely would recommend coming here. Very pleased to find my new dr here.
Customers Come First
My 8 year old daughter has been getting her glasses here for years. The staff are fabulous. They have been extraordinarily patient dealing with Blue Cross, which can be incredibly frustrating for vendors to deal with. Patty is very friendly and great with children. We love going here, even if it’s just to get a quick adjustment. This is a wonderful local business where customers come first.
But, by far, the worst support staff I have even seen.I had a thorough and very professional examination by Dr. Haley Perry. From that point on, all else went downhill, I have had many calls, many excuses and many times , the delay on my glasses, being blamed upon the insurance company. NOT TRUE!My exam took place in January (3rd week of) and its now the 3rd week of March….still….NO GLASSES. Each week, even after emailing Dr. Perry, I continually hear excuses, about how \\\”the delay is the insurance companies fault\\\” However, I spoke with said insurance company… come to light, the staff at this office , haven\\\’t even made the order for glasses until sometime after 1st week of March. Thus… still no glasses. By far, the worst support staff I have ever had the misfortune to deal with…My advice…run as far away as you can from this company. The folks there have zero problems with misleading,lying, even fabricating half-truths to cover the totally lack of professionalism they claim to uphold….
I’ve been seeing Dr. Vizithum for several years, and it’s been great to see the practice expand. Recently I’ve been experiencing very annoying dry eyes, called for an appointment, Dr. V wasn’t available right away, but the newest doctor, Dr. Chadha, could see me. I’ve been very impressed with the excellent care and her genuine interest in my case. I called the office with a question about a medication, but it was her day off. Patty took my message and texted Dr. Chadha, who called me right away (on her day off!) – I’ve never had that happen before with any doctor, ever. I have nothing but the highest praise for this practice and all who work there!
